Oswal Marval & Granites

If you know the Ambegaon area, you probably know the Marble Market near the Mumbai-Banglore Highway. That is where we are, right across from Trimurti Place. It is a busy spot, especially with D-Mart just down the road. People are always coming and going. We called the place Oswal Marval & Granites because that’s what we have. We spend most of our days standing out here among the stacks of granite and marble. The highway noise is something you just get used to after a few weeks. It’s a lot of work to keep things organized because new loads come in and we have to find space for everything. Sometimes the sun is really beating down on the stones, and they get so hot you can barely touch them without gloves. We mostly just wait for locals to stop in while they are out doing their shopping at the market. It’s not a fancy setup. We have our small desk and a few chairs for when someone wants to sit and talk about their house plans. We try to keep the slabs visible so people can see the patterns. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes with the cranes moving around, but that’s just part of the job. We’ve been here in Ambegaon for a while now, just doing our thing day by day. We don't bother with much paperwork beyond what is needed to get the stone delivered to your door.
