Optimist Advertlsing

Our place is over in Narayan Peth, specifically at 533 Sonawane. It's a very busy area with narrow streets and we're right in the middle of all that activity. We do advertising work, but mostly the physical side of it like making prints and signs. The shop always has that distinct smell of paper and fresh ink. It’s definitely not a quiet or polished office. There’s usually a printing machine humming away in the back room. We started out small and we’ve stayed that way because it's just easier for us to manage. People come in with their own ideas for their small shops or local events, and we try to get those ideas onto a banner or a board. Narayan Peth has a lot of history and we feel like we fit right in with the other hard-working shops on the block. We don't have a sales team or anyone in a suit. It's just us doing the design work and running the printers. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a big order before a deadline. The walls are covered with scraps and old projects we’ve done over the years. It looks a bit cluttered to an outsider, but we know exactly where every tool is kept. We don't use big fancy words to talk about our work. We just make signs and advertisements. It's straightforward and practical. The street outside is always crowded, but we like the energy. We just open up and work.
