Omkar Academy is basically just a few of us here on National Road 8 in Wanowarie trying to help students get through their exams. It’s a busy spot because the road gets noisy, but once you step inside, it’s mostly just the sound of pens scratching and maybe some quiet talking when someone gets stuck on a math problem. We started this place because there weren’t enough quiet areas around here for kids to focus. Most days, I’m here early opening the shutters and making sure the benches are wiped down. It’s not a fancy building or anything, just some rooms with whiteboards and a lot of textbooks lying around. Sometimes the fans make a bit of noise, but nobody really minds when they are busy studying. We see a lot of the same faces every afternoon after school lets out. It’s nice to know most of the families in the neighborhood by now. We don't have a huge staff, just a couple of people who know their subjects well and don’t mind explaining the same thing five times if that's what it takes. Often, we stay late if a big test is coming up because that's just how it goes in this line of work. It’s a lot of paper, a lot of chai, and hopefully some better grades for the kids who put in the effort. That is pretty much the whole story of this academy.
