Niraj Automation Pvt. Ltd. operates out of Sahil, specifically Flat No. 10 at Parihar Chowk in Aundh. It is a bit unusual being in a flat, but in this part of Pune, that is how a lot of businesses start out. It makes the office feel a bit more like a home, which has its pros and cons. We are right by Parihar Chowk, so there is always something happening outside—lots of shops and people moving around. Inside, we have turned the rooms into workspaces for our automation projects. There are cables running along the floor sometimes and the kitchen is mostly used for making endless rounds of tea. We are a small group, so we all know each other’s business and what everyone is working on. It gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of equipment delivered, but we manage to shift things around to make space. Aundh is a nice area to be in because you can find good food just a few steps away. We don't have a corporate reception or anything, you just ring the bell and come in. Most of our work is technical and involves a lot of trial and error with software and hardware. It is a simple setup, but it allows us to focus on the engineering without all the fluff you see in bigger companies. We just keep at it every day.
