Natrang Kala Acadamy

Natrang Kala Acadamy is located over in Warje Malwadi, right by the Kalpavruksh Garden area on the New Link Road. If you know Mahavir Nagar, we are pretty easy to find. We started this academy because there weren't many places around here for people to learn traditional arts. It’s a humble setup with a few rooms and a small balcony where we keep some plants. The noise from the New Link Road is always there in the background, but you get used to it after a few days. We don't have a big marketing budget or shiny signs. Most of our students live in the nearby blocks and just heard about us from their friends. We have some wooden benches for people to leave their bags on, and the walls are painted a simple off-white color. Sometimes the fans make a clicking sound that can be annoying, but they keep us cool enough during the summer heat. We don't use any fancy software to track everything; we just have a big notebook where we write down who came for which class. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for a small place like ours. We spend a lot of time just talking with the parents after the lessons are done. It feels more like a small community center than a formal school. We are just local people trying to keep our culture alive in the neighborhood.
