Being near Ram Krishna Mangal Karyalay means it is always noisy around here. During wedding season, the music from the hall carries right into our rooms. We’ve gotten used to it over the years. Pimpri Chinchwad is a crowded area, so there is always something going on outside our windows. The clinic is a small place, nothing too special to look at from the street. I’ve worked here for a long time and I know most of the faces that walk in. It’s mostly neighbors and people from the nearby blocks. We don’t have a big fancy sign, just the one by the door. Some days the waiting area gets really full and people have to stand outside. It’s not ideal but we do what we can. The walk from the main road isn't too long. Sometimes I bring lunch from home and eat it at my desk because there's no time to go out. The floors get scuffed up from all the boots coming in during the rains. We keep a bucket by the door for umbrellas. It is just a regular clinic where we try to help people who feel under the weather. Nothing is very flashy here. We use old wooden desks and the filing cabinets are getting a bit stuck. But it works for us and the people who come to see us. It is just how we operate in this busy part of town.
