Chinmay Footwear

Chinmay Footwear is located over at 708 Narayan Peth, right on Laxmi Road. We are directly opposite the Commonwealth Building, so we’re pretty easy to spot if you’re walking through the area. Narayan Peth is always buzzing with people, especially on the weekends. Our shop is full of different kinds of shoes piled up in boxes. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we know where everything is kept. We’ve been selling footwear here for a while now. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you’ll usually see one of us behind the counter or helping someone try on a pair of sandals. We don’t have any polished sales pitches. We just let people look around and help them find their size. The shop gets pretty cramped when there are more than a few customers inside at once. Sometimes the street noise from Laxmi Road is so loud we have to raise our voices to be heard. We don't use any fancy computer systems for our inventory; it’s all written down in our books. It’s a simple way to do business, and it works for us. Working in Narayan Peth means we see all sorts of people every day. We just focus on keeping the shelves stocked and making sure the shop stays open for whoever needs a new pair of shoes. We try to keep things fairly relaxed around here despite the busy street outside. That’s just our way of working.
