Nanavati Hospital

Out here in Bhosari, things feel a bit different than the main city. Our building is No. 280/ B in Sector 10 of the PCNDTA area. It’s a lot of concrete and industrial units around us. Nanavati Hospital here serves a lot of the people who work in the nearby factories. I get here by bus usually, and the walk from the stop isn't too bad. The hospital isn't the biggest, but it stays busy. We see a lot of work-related stuff, like people getting banged up at their jobs. The air out here can be a bit dusty because of all the construction and the trucks moving through Sector 10. We spend a lot of time checking people in and making sure the doctors have what they need. The lobby has those plastic chairs that aren't very comfortable, but people don't seem to mind much while they wait. We have a small staff and we all know each other's business, which is nice in a way. Lunch is usually a tiffin brought from home, eaten quickly in the back room. Sometimes it’s quiet for an hour, then three ambulances show up at once and we’re all running. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. Bhosari is a hardworking place, and we try to work just as hard as the people living here. We finish up late most nights and the streetlights in Sector 10 are the only things keeping the place lit.
