Naadanam Academy Of Performing Arts

Naadanam Academy Of Performing Arts sits on the Erandwane Undri Pisoli Road. It’s a bit of a drive for some, but the 41465 area is where we decided to set up. We handle a lot of different things like dance and some drama practice. The main hall has big mirrors that we have to clean constantly because of all the handprints from the younger kids. The floor is a bit scuffed from all the shoes and bare feet moving across it all day long. We keep a stack of mats in the corner for when we do floor work or stretching. It’s usually quite loud here with music playing or someone shouting instructions over the noise. We have a small changing area that is basically just a curtained-off corner, nothing too special. Most of our students come from the nearby residential blocks and they usually arrive in batches. The parking outside can be a real headache during the peak hours in the late afternoon. We spend a lot of time swept up in the chaos of organizing rehearsals. Sometimes we forget to turn off the lights when we leave because we are so tired after the last session. It is a busy place and there is always something going on, whether it is a small play or just a basic rhythm class. We just like keeping the arts going in our little corner of the road.
