Multicolour Spices Association

Our office is at 1170 B on Shivaji Road, right in the Camp area. It’s an old part of town and the traffic is usually pretty heavy. If you walk inside, the first thing you will notice is the heavy scent of spices. It’s a mix of everything—peppers, cloves, and ground powders. Since we are an association, we have a lot of different people coming in and out. Traders, farmers, and shopkeepers all stop by to discuss the latest prices or to show us samples. The desks are usually piled high with small bags of spices waiting to be sorted. We don’t have any fancy marketing materials or a polished showroom. It’s just a workspace where we get things done. The walls are a bit faded and the fans hum all day long. We spend a lot of time on the phone or sitting around the big table in the back. Sometimes the debates get a bit loud when we are trying to set standards for the season. It’s a community thing more than anything else. We all know each other and how the spice market works. It’s a bit messy and loud, but that is how we like it. The mailman usually stops by around noon and we share some news about the street. It’s that kind of place. We are just a group of people who know spices and like working together here.
