Midwest Group/South Asia Marble ( Sri Lanka )

Our place is over at C/54 in Ravi Park, right by Jagtap Chowk in Wanawadi. Pune is a busy city and this area has grown a lot since we first set up here. Dealing with marble from places like Sri Lanka means there is always a lot of heavy lifting and dust around the office. We spend most of the morning moving crates and checking the slabs that come in. The office is tucked away in the park area, so it’s a little quieter than being right on the main road, which is nice when we need to focus. Sometimes the traffic at Jagtap Chowk gets backed up and it takes a while for any deliveries to reach us. We have a small team here and everyone knows their job. We don’t have any big corporate meetings, just a quick chat over tea to see what needs to be moved or loaded onto the trucks. The marble pieces are heavy and you have to be careful with your back. It is a lot of physical work and the floors are always covered in a bit of white stone dust no matter how much we sweep. We just keep at it day after day. Most of our neighbors are used to the sound of the trucks coming in and out by now. It is just the way we do things here in Pune and it keeps us busy.
