Meluha International School

Meluha International School is located on Hidayat Ullah Road in the Bhawani Peth area of Pune. It is a busy part of the city with lots of markets and traffic nearby. We have been working out of this building for a while now and the staff has grown quite used to the pace of the neighborhood. Even though the name sounds a bit modern we keep things very practical inside. The classrooms are set up for daily lessons and we try to make sure the students have what they need to get through their school day. Most of the children come from families living around Bhawani Peth or from the nearby areas who want a school that is close to home. You won't find any glossy posters or polished sales talk here. We just show parents the classrooms and tell them how we teach. During the rainy season the road can get a bit clogged with water but we still manage to keep the schedule going. The teachers spend their breaks in a small common room talking about the day’s lessons. It’s a very human environment where everyone knows each other’s names. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It is just us and the students trying to get the work done. We focus on the basics and making sure the kids are actually learning something useful every day.
