Our place is at Shukrawar Peth 1111. If you know the Peth areas, you know they are old and can get pretty dusty with all the narrow lanes and old buildings. That is why we are here, I guess. We spend our days with buckets, mops, and cleaning machines. It is physical work and we usually end the day pretty tired and covered in some kind of soap or dust. We go into houses and offices and just try to scrub away the grime that builds up. It’s not like those commercials where everything sparkles instantly. It takes a lot of rubbing and sweating to get a floor looking decent again. The building at 1111 is where we keep the heavy vacuums and all the chemicals we use. Sometimes the traffic in Shukrawar Peth makes it hard to get the equipment out to the client’s place on time, so we usually have to leave really early. We don't use any fancy scripts when we talk to people. We just look at the mess and tell them how long it will take to clean it up. It is honest work. We have a few guys who have been with us for years and they know exactly which corners people usually miss. We just keep our mops moving and try to do a solid job for whoever asks us to come over.
