Our academy is situated in Sangavi, over in Sector-19C. It's a local spot where we focus on math for the neighborhood kids. The name might sound a bit different, but we are all about the numbers here. The room we use isn't huge, but it fits enough desks for the small groups we handle. I usually get here early to open the windows and let some air in before the afternoon rush. Sector-19C is a decent area, though parking can be a bit of a pain sometimes if you're driving. Most of our students just walk over from the nearby apartments. We have a couple of whiteboards that are starting to stain because we use them so much. Every day is pretty much the same: we go over homework, look at new chapters, and try to solve as many problems as possible before the hour is up. I find that a lot of students just need someone to sit with them and show them where they went wrong in a calculation. We keep a stack of extra notebooks in the cupboard for when someone forgets theirs. It’s a very plain environment, no posters or decorations, just what we need to teach. It’s worked for us for quite a while now. We just stay focused on the work at hand. Sometimes I bring in some biscuits to share when we are doing a particularly long session on a Saturday morning with the older students.
