Mariyamma School Of Nursing

Our school is located on Plot No 26 in the Raghukul Society. We are right in the Bhagirathi Hospital Lane in Karve Nagar. It’s a busy little pocket of Pune, and being so close to the hospital makes sense for what we do. We have students who are training to become nurses, so they are a serious bunch. They spend a lot of time in their uniforms, going between the classrooms and their practical sessions. The building isn't huge, but we use every bit of space we have for labs and study areas. It’s often a bit quiet inside because everyone is busy reading or practicing their skills. We have a small staff that keeps things going, handling the admissions and the exam schedules. Sometimes the lane gets blocked by ambulances or delivery trucks, which is just part of being in this neighborhood. We don't have a lot of extra space for things like big parks, so the students mostly gather in the common room during their breaks. The weather in Hingne Budrukh can be a bit much in the summer, but we just keep the windows open for a breeze. We focus on the basics of nursing education and making sure everyone knows their stuff. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We see a lot of hard work happening within these walls every day, and we’re just here to facilitate that for the local students.
