If you go down to Rudra Market in Shukrawar Peth, you'll find us among the other shops there. Marble Distributors has been around for quite a while now. We deal with heavy stone slabs all day long. It's dusty work, and our clothes usually show it by the end of the afternoon. We have all kinds of marble coming in from different places. Some people want it for their kitchen floors and others are looking for something for a small temple area in their house. We don't have a big fancy office with air conditioning. It's just a yard and a small desk where we handle the paperwork. Moving these stones takes a lot of effort and we have a few guys who help with the loading. Sometimes the trucks get stuck in the narrow lanes of Raviwar Peth, which can be a real headache for everyone. We just try to get the orders sorted and sent out as fast as we can. Dealing with natural stone means every piece looks a bit different. We tell customers to look closely before they pick. It’s a straightforward trade. We’ve seen the market change over the years, but people always seem to need good stone for their homes. We stay busy with local builders and homeowners who just want something that lasts. It's a lot of heavy lifting but it’s what we do here. The yard gets muddy when it rains, but we keep working through it to get the deliveries ready for the morning.
