Manilesh Clinic

If you head over to Yamuna Nagar in the Nigdi area, you will find Manilesh Clinic at 21/209. It is a quiet enough street, tucked away from the heaviest traffic. The building has been here for years, and we occupy this specific unit on the ground floor. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is probably the sound of the clock ticking on the wall. We have a small desk near the entrance where we keep the ledger and the phone. It is a bit cramped when more than three people are waiting, but everyone seems to make do. We don't use any high-tech gadgets for appointments; it is mostly just people showing up and waiting their turn. The walls are painted a light shade of cream that has faded a bit over time. Outside, you can hear the kids playing or the occasional vegetable seller passing by. It is a very local vibe. We know the neighbors and they know us. The work is steady, mostly seeing people from the immediate blocks around Nigdi. There is a small sink in the back and a cupboard full of basic supplies. It is a practical space without any unnecessary frills. We focus on getting through the daily list of patients and making sure the door is locked up tight at the end of the evening. It is just a regular part of life here.
