Malganga International Digital School Nighoj is based over in Hadapsar, Pune. We are located in Gana Residency, which is a fairly busy residential area. Even though the name says digital, we are still a very local school at heart. Being in Pune means we deal with the usual city life, like the sounds of motorcycles and people moving about. The school itself is tucked into the building, so it’s not a massive campus with fields. We use our space the best we can. The classrooms have some computers and screens, which is what the digital part is about, but the atmosphere is still very much like a neighborhood school. Parents drop their kids off on their way to work, and there is a lot of chatting at the entrance every morning. It can get a bit crowded in the hallways when the bell rings, but that’s just how it goes. The staff here is mostly local people from the 411028 zip code. We know the shopkeepers nearby and the regular rhythm of Hadapsar. Sometimes we have to remind the kids to keep their voices down because we are in a residential wing. It’s a bit of an unusual spot for a school, but it works for the families living around here. We just try to keep things organized and make sure the technology is actually working when the teachers need it for their lessons. The office is small and usually has a stack of notebooks waiting for the staff.
