M K Gaikwad Agrotech Private Limited is based over in Balaji Nagar, Dhankawadi. It is mostly a residential area, but we have our spot at Survey Number 20/2, House Number 3468/1. It is a small operation we run here. We focus on agrotech, so we spend a lot of our time thinking about how to help local farmers use better tools and methods. It is not a shiny laboratory or anything like that. It is more of a workshop and a small office where we keep all our records and spare parts. Pune is a good place for this kind of work because there are many farmers nearby and also people who understand technology. We try to bring those two worlds together. Some days are much slower than others. We might be fixing a piece of equipment for a neighbor or just sitting and talking to a visitor about their soil issues. We don't have a big corporate structure or a bunch of managers. It is just us here in Dhankawadi. We have lived in this part of town for a lot of years, so we know the local shops and the people around us. Dealing with agricultural technology involves a lot of trial and error. We learn something new every day. It is honest work and it keeps us very busy from the morning until the sun goes down. We just want to help folks around here get more out of their land.
