Laxmi Mutton Shop

The shop, Laxmi Mutton Shop, is located right on the Bagalgunte Main Road in Vadgaon Budruk. It’s a busy street and we’ve been here for a while now. Every morning starts pretty early for us because that’s when people want to get their meat. We get everything set up before the sun is even fully up. The area of Vadgaon Budruk has changed a lot over the years, but we are still here in the same spot. It can get a bit loud with the traffic on the main road, but you get used to it after a few weeks. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us working the counters and making sure things are cut right. People from the neighborhood stop by on their way home or while they are out doing their regular shopping. We don't spend money on fancy signs or anything like that. We just have the name out front so people know it's us. Sometimes it gets crowded on Sundays, and the line goes out toward the road, but we try to move as fast as we can. It’s honest work and we take it one day at a time. The floor stays wet because we’re always cleaning up after ourselves. That’s just part of running a place like Laxmi Mutton Shop. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We’re just local people working on the main road.
