Komas Earth Movers & Projects

Our office is on the fourth floor of the D.C. Chamber building, Office Number 4. It is not a ground-floor yard like some other places, so we do not keep the big machines right outside the door. We handle more of the project planning and the paperwork from up here. The elevator in this building is sometimes a bit slow, so a lot of us just take the stairs if we aren’t carrying anything heavy. From the window, you can see a bit of the surrounding area, which is usually quite busy. Inside, it is mostly desks, computers, and a lot of maps and project files. We spend a lot of time coordinating where our equipment is supposed to be. It can get a bit stressful when multiple projects are happening at once. We aren’t big on corporate meetings or anything like that. We just sit around and talk about what needs to get done for the week. Sometimes we have to head out to the sites to see how the work is progressing. Those are the long days. Back at the office, it is usually just the sound of the keyboard and the phone ringing. It is a plain office, nothing fancy, just a place for us to work and manage everything. We have been doing this for a few years and have a good handle on things now. It is just about getting the projects finished on time.
