Out here in Khodad, things move a bit slower than they do in the middle of Pune. We are tucked away in the Junnar area, and it’s a pretty quiet place to be. You have to drive a bit to reach us, but once you’re here, it’s mostly just open space and fresh air. The road to reach us is a bit bumpy sometimes. The society has been around this part of the district for some time now. We spend our mornings getting things ready for whoever needs to come by. The building isn’t brand new, but it serves its purpose well enough. You’ll find us mostly dealing with paperwork or talking to people from the nearby villages. It’s a rural setting, so we see a lot of local faces coming in and out throughout the week. Sometimes the power goes out, or the internet gets a bit slow, but we just manage. We have a routine that works for us. The staff usually brings lunch from home and we eat together in the small break area. It isn’t a corporate office with glass walls; it’s more of a community spot. We try to keep the place tidy. Most of the time, you can hear birds outside because there isn’t much traffic noise. It’s just a regular group of people working together in this part of Tal Junnar. We’ve grown used to the quiet life here away from the city.
