Jehangir Hospital

You can find Jehangir Hospital at 13 Sasoon Road, right near the Poona Station Road. It’s an old area and the building reflects that in some ways. We have high ceilings and some of the wiring is tucked into plastic casing along the walls. It’s a very practical place. We aren't here to look pretty; we’re here to work. Every morning starts with the sound of the shift change and the metal lockers banging in the staff room. The air conditioning works well in the operating rooms, but in the hallways, it can get a bit stuffy when there are a lot of visitors. We have a pharmacy on site that stays pretty busy with people lining up for their prescriptions. Sometimes the wait is long, and people get a bit cranky, but we just keep moving along. The parking outside is a real headache, to be honest. There’s never enough space for all the cars and bikes, so people end up parking blocks away. We see a lot of different cases here, from minor stuff to things that keep the doctors up all night. The canteen food is okay, nothing special, but it fills you up when you’ve been on your feet for ten hours. We just go about our business and try to help the folks who come through the door. It’s been this way for years and probably will be for many more.
