Jain Marbles

Our place, Jain Marbles, is located at Number 1 in the Dealing Centre at Mitramandal Corner. We are in the Velenker Nagar area, right on Parvati Road. It is a corner that a lot of people pass every day. We’ve been operating from this location for many years now. The shop is not huge, so we have to be careful about how we stack all the marble. It gets a bit crowded when a new shipment arrives. Parvati Road is a busy place, and we get a lot of people just walking by and looking in. We keep a variety of stones, mostly marble, for all kinds of construction and renovation work. It is a local business and we don't have any big corporate rules. We just talk to the customers, show them the different slabs, and help them get everything loaded up. Sometimes we have to move a dozen heavy pieces just to get to one specific slab at the back of the pile. It is physical work and our hands get pretty rough from handling the stone all day long. But we like the daily routine of it. We open up early in the morning and stay until the evening. Most of the people around Velenker Nagar know us by now. We don't bother with any big advertisements or fancy signs. We just stay here at Mitramandal Corner and do our work day after day. It’s a simple business but it keeps us busy.
