Jain Marble & Granites

Our office is over in Bibwewadi, specifically at 440/A-2 on the Pune-Satara Road. If you know the Demeloo Petrol Pump, we are right near there. It’s a busy stretch of road, so there is always noise from the cars and bikes going by. We started Jain Marble & Granites because we saw so much construction happening around Pune. My desk is usually covered in papers and small stone samples. It’s not the neatest place, but we know where everything is. People stop by after getting petrol or while they are stuck in traffic. We talk about what kind of flooring they need for their new apartments. We have both marble and granite, depending on what a person is looking for. Some like the shiny finish of marble, while others want the toughness of granite. We don't have a big showroom with lights; we just show the slabs as they are. Sometimes the delivery guys struggle with the parking around here since it’s so crowded. It can be frustrating, but we make it work. We’ve been at this spot for quite a while now. It feels like we are part of the neighborhood. We drink a lot of chai and talk to the same contractors every week. It is a small operation, and we like it that way because we can actually talk to the people buying from us without any middleman.
