Jai Bhavani Mutton Shop

We spend most of our days right here at Shop No 6 in the Indraprasta Complex. If you know the Pune Solapur Highway, you know how busy it gets around Manjari Phata. We are on the ground floor of Survey No 278. It's a practical spot for a mutton shop. Most mornings start way before the sun is really up. We have to get everything ready before the local crowds start moving toward Vitthal Nagar. The shop isn't anything fancy to look at, just a regular place with tiled walls and our counters. We spend a lot of time cleaning up and making sure the hooks are ready. There is always a bit of dust from the highway coming in, so we are constantly wiping things down. Usually, there's a line of people on Sundays. You see the same faces every week coming from around the complex. It gets a bit loud with the trucks passing by outside, but we’re used to it now. We just focus on the work, cutting the meat the way people ask for it. Some want it for a rassa, some for a fry. We don't talk much unless it's about the order or maybe the weather. It’s just how it goes here in Hadapsar. We’ve been at this spot for a while, and the neighborhood around the Indraprasta building has seen a lot of changes, but the shop stays pretty much the same every day. It's a simple living for us.
