Jagrutispices Industries Private Limited

We are located in Kandivali East on Ashok Chakravarti Road. Our workspace is inside Dharama-Vir CHS Ltd, specifically units 4 and 5 in the Sh14 block. Being in Mumbai means there is always a lot of noise and a lot of energy around us. Jagrutispices Industries Private Limited is where we spend the majority of our time. As you can probably guess from the name, we deal with spices. The air in our units usually smells like cumin, cinnamon, or turmeric. It is a very strong smell, but we have gotten used to it after all these years. Our family has been interested in the spice trade for a long time. We finally decided to make it a formal business. We have some grinding machines that can be quite loud when they are running. We try to finish the heavy grinding work during the day so we don’t bother the other residents in the society at night. It is a small space, so we have to stay very organized. We stack heavy bags of raw spices almost to the ceiling. We do everything ourselves, from finding the whole spices to packing the finished powder. It is a lot of manual labor and it can be tiring. My hands usually have a bit of a yellow stain from the turmeric. We just sell to local shops and people who know us.
