J. N. College

Our college is situated on Amravati Road in Nagpur. It is a busy stretch of road, so there is always the sound of traffic in the background. J. N. College has been around for a good number of years now. We have students coming in from all parts of the city and even from some of the outlying villages. The campus is spread out enough that you do not feel too cramped, though the common areas get packed during lunch hours. We have different departments for various subjects, and the professors mostly just get on with their lectures. It is a no-nonsense kind of place. We have a canteen that serves basic tea and snacks, which is where most of the social life happens for the students between classes. The library is usually quiet, filled with people trying to finish their assignments last minute. We do not have a lot of fancy trimmings or high-tech labs, just the essential equipment needed for the courses. The administration office is always a bit chaotic with forms and registers, but we manage to keep things moving along. It is an honest place for young people to get their degrees and move on to the next stage of their lives. We do not make big promises. We just provide the space and the teachers for people who want to study. It is a staple part of the Amravati Road community and we like it that way.
