Intercontinental Maritime Educational Foundation

We operate out of Gangadhar Chambers, specifically in Flat 2 at House Number 314. Narayan Peth is one of those parts of town where the streets feel like they've been there forever. It’s a bit of a maze if you aren't familiar with it. The building itself is an older style, typical for this area. We are on the second flat, so it isn't too many stairs to climb. The office is pretty simple. We have some heavy wooden desks that have probably seen better days and a lot of filing cabinets. It’s a small foundation, so there’s usually only three or four of us around at any given time. We don’t have a fancy coffee machine, just a small stove to boil water for tea. The windows look out onto the street, so we hear the motorbikes and the people walking to the local shops all day. It’s a very grounded place to work. We don't spend money on expensive decor because we don't really see the point. We just need a place to sit and handle the education side of things. Most people find us through word of mouth since we don't have a big billboard. It’s just a plain, honest workspace in a very traditional part of the city. Intercontinental Maritime Educational Foundation has its doors open early and we usually lock up once the sun starts to go down. It’s been our home for quite a while now and we like the routine.
