Iglookids International

Iglookids International is situated on the second floor of the Orient Chamber in Sadashiv Peth. If you know this part of town, you know the streets can be quite narrow and the buildings are packed together. Being on the second floor means we have to carry everything up the stairs, which is a bit of a workout every day. The space is mostly filled with things for children, so it’s bright and has a lot of energy. We spend our time setting up activities and making sure everything is ready for when the kids arrive. It can get very loud very quickly, but that is just the nature of what we do. There are always toys that need putting away or drawings taped to the walls. We try to keep things tidy, but with kids around, a little mess is pretty much guaranteed by lunchtime. The staff here are just regular people who enjoy being around children and helping them learn a thing or two. We don't use any complicated methods, we just focus on keeping them busy and safe. Sometimes the parents stay for a bit to chat about how things are going with their little ones. Sadashiv Peth is a busy area, so there’s always something happening outside our windows. We aren't part of some huge corporate chain with shiny brochures. We’re just a local spot in the Orient Chamber trying to give kids a good place to spend their day while parents are busy working.
