Goa University

It might seem a bit strange to find an office for Goa University all the way over here at S-18 in the T Block of MIDC Bhosari. Most people expect us to be near the beach, but this is where this particular branch is set up. It’s an industrial area, so instead of waves, we hear the sound of factories and heavy trucks. The office is pretty basic. We have rows of filing cabinets, some old desks, and computers that have seen better days. It is mostly administrative stuff that happens here. We deal with a lot of paperwork and records, which can be a bit tedious, but it is necessary. The fluorescent lights hum a little too loud sometimes, and the air can get a bit stuffy in the afternoons. We don't have a big campus with trees here; it’s just a functional building in a busy block. We go to the local canteen for lunch and talk about the weekend or the news. It’s a quiet life compared to the manufacturing units next door. We don't have any fancy mission statements posted on the walls. We just come in, process the documents we need to, and make sure everything is filed where it belongs. It’s not a glamorous setup, but we get the job done and keep things moving for the university from this little corner of Bhosari every day.
