Gita Provision Store

Gita Provision Store is located on the Katraj Kondhwa Road, specifically in Swami Samarth Nagar. We are part of the Katraj and Pune Sasane Nagar area, which has grown a lot lately. The road outside is a main artery, so there are always cars and buses zooming past. The shop is basically a large room where we’ve tried to organize all the provisions. We have big metal tins for the grains and plastic bins for everything else. It smells like a mix of spices and laundry soap inside. We aren't a big supermarket, just a local provision store where you can get your monthly rations. Some days it is very quiet and I just sit and look at the traffic. Other days, everyone comes in at once and it gets a bit frantic trying to weigh everything out correctly. The scales we use are old but they still work fine. We get a lot of families from the surrounding apartments who come in for their supplies. We don't use any fancy barcodes or scanners, just a pen and paper for the bills. The sun hits the front of the shop in the afternoon, so we have to pull down the awning to keep the shop cool. It’s just a regular place in Pune where you can buy what you need for your kitchen. Nothing more and nothing less. We spend our evenings checking the stock and writing down what needs to be ordered for the next week.
