We’ve got our office in Row House No. 2 at Basil in Baner. It’s right near the Sadanand Hotel, which makes it easy for people to find us since everyone knows that landmark. Being in a row house instead of a big industrial block makes it feel a bit more like a home. We work on pneumatic and electric grippers for robots and automation stuff. It’s funny because Baner has become so busy lately with all the new cafes and offices, but our little corner stays pretty focused on the mechanical side of things. We usually have boxes of robotic hands and mounting parts sitting around the living room area which we turned into an office. There’s a few of us here and we spend a lot of time on the phone or working on the computer. It’s not a high-pressure corporate environment. We just drink our tea and handle the inquiries that come in from all over India. Sometimes we have to go out to customer sites to see how the grippers are working on their assembly lines. It’s interesting to see how these small parts help build cars or electronics. We don’t really do big advertisements. Most people find us because they need a specific part for their automation setup. We just try to be helpful and get the parts out on time. The atmosphere is quiet until the courier trucks arrive to pick up the daily shipments.
