Jaain Ceramics

We've been over here at Godrej Awanti on Shankarshet Road for a while now. Jaain Ceramics is basically just us dealing with tiles and bathroom stuff mostly. It gets busy in Ghorpadi Peth with all the traffic, but we are easy to find at shop number 401. People come in looking for specific patterns or just a simple floor tile that won't crack. We spend a lot of time moving crates around and checking what's in stock. Sometimes the floor is a bit dusty from the samples, but that’s just how it goes with ceramics. We don't have a big fancy showroom with lights, just the stacks of what people need. Dealing with local contractors is a big part of our day. They know where we are. If you are driving down the main road, you'll see us. It’s a family-run kind of setup. We mostly just talk about what works for a kitchen or a bathroom wall. Nothing too complicated. Most days are spent on the phone checking deliveries or helping someone load a few boxes into their vehicle. We’ve stayed in this spot because it's central for the workers around here. It’s a lot of lifting and organizing, honestly. But we like the routine of it. We keep track of everything in our ledger and try to make sure the inventory is right. It's just a regular shop doing regular business. We've seen the neighborhood change quite a bit but we just stay here doing our thing day after day.
