Our place is out in the Midc Chakan Industrial Area, specifically at A - 4 in Mahalunge. If you know Chakan, you know it’s mostly factories and large trucks moving in and out at all hours. Flash Electronics has been operating from this unit for a while now. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of machines and people working on the assembly lines. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons, but we have some fans going to keep the air moving. We handle a lot of different electronic parts here. Some days the floor is covered in boxes waiting to be loaded onto the transport trucks. It’s a busy environment and there is always something that needs fixing or checking. The commute to Mahalunge can be a bit of a pain with the road conditions, especially when it rains and the dust turns to mud. Most of the staff comes from nearby villages or stays in the local housing. We don't have a big corporate cafeteria or anything, just a small space where we sit down for lunch and share whatever we brought from home. It’s hard work, and the days are long, but we’ve got a good group of people who know how to get things done. We focus on the boards and the components that come through our station. There isn't much time for sitting around when orders are backed up. It’s just how things go at an industrial site like this.
