You can find us at A-4 in the MIDC Chakan Industrial Area, specifically in the Mhalunge part of Chakan. It’s a huge industrial zone, and FLASH ELCTRONICS (I) PVT. LTD. is right in the middle of all that activity. The air always smells a bit like metal and exhaust from the nearby plants. Our building is a standard industrial shed style, big and open. We have lines of benches where we work on electronic components. It’s detailed work, so we have to keep things relatively organized, even if the desks look a bit messy with wires and soldering irons. Chakan is a long drive for some of us, but this is where the industry is. We spend most of our daylight hours under these lights. The shift starts early, and there is always a sense of urgency to meet the day’s numbers. We don't have a cafeteria, just a small corner with a kettle and some biscuits where we take our breaks. The walls are painted a neutral color that’s seen better days, but the equipment we use is what matters. We deal with a lot of incoming parts and outgoing boxes. There’s a constant sound of tape dispensers and the forklifts moving in the yard outside. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. We focus on the boards and the circuits, making sure everything is put together right before it leaves the gate at the end of the shift.
