Evergreen Chicken

If you are looking for us, we are at 141 in Dapodi. Evergreen Chicken has been sitting on this same street for a lot of years now. It is a plain shop, just a counter and the space in the back where we work. We get our chicken fresh every morning. The delivery trucks arrive early and make a lot of noise, which the neighbors probably don't like much. We have to get everything inside and started right away. Dapodi is a neighborhood where people talk to each other, so we know most of our customers by name. We don't have any computers or fancy systems here. We weigh everything on an old scale and write it down in a book. It is a messy job, and we are constantly washing the floors and the counters. You have to be okay with getting your hands dirty in this business. My cousin and I run the place together. We don't have much to say when it’s busy. We just focus on the knives and getting the meat ready for people who live at Dapodi 141 and around. It is hard work on your feet all day, but it’s what we do. We don't have a website or any social media. People just know where Evergreen Chicken is if they live around here. We just try to keep things simple and stay open until the last customer is gone for the evening. It’s a long day.
