We are located at 16, Coloney here in Baramati. It is not hard to find if you know the area. The shop is mostly full of boxes and old parts that we might need one day. My hands usually have a bit of grease or solder on them by midday. Maharashtra gets hot, so the door stays open to catch a breeze. We have been here for a while now, just doing what we do. It is not like those big stores in the city. We don't have uniforms or anything like that. Just me and a couple of others helping out. People bring in their radios or whatever else is broken. Sometimes we can fix it, sometimes we can't, but we always tell it straight. The neighborhood is okay, mostly quiet neighbors who stop by to chat. I keep a small notebook for orders because I don't like computers much for that stuff. The floor is concrete and has some cracks, but it does the job. We don't do any big advertising. People just know we are here at number 16. It is a simple way to make a living. The shelves are a bit disorganized, but I know where everything is. If you need something, you just have to ask and I’ll dig it out. Usually, we are open until late evening unless something comes up. I like to keep the radio on for some background noise. It makes the day go faster.
