We are situated at Survey Number 411/1 on the Bombay Pune Road in Dapodi. It is a very loud and busy area because of all the heavy traffic moving between the cities. Our workshop is right opposite the Alfa Laval plant, which everyone knows. We do fabrication work here, specifically cranes and related steel structures. Since we are on the main road, it gets very dusty and we are always cleaning off the desks and the equipment. The workshop has high ceilings because the cranes take up a lot of vertical space. You’ll usually hear the sound of welding or grinders going on if you stop by. It’s heavy work and the floor is usually covered in metal scrap and sparks. We have a small cabin for the office part where we keep the drawings and the files. It’s nothing special, just a place to sit and have some tea. The workers have been with us for a long time and they know their way around a welding torch. We don't spend much time on fancy talk; we just focus on the iron and steel. Sometimes we work late if a delivery is due, and you can see the light from the shop from the highway. It’s a tough job but it’s what we know. We just try to get the dimensions right and move onto the next crane.
