Dr.D.Y.Patil College Akurdi-Pune

Our place is right in Akurdi, Pune, specifically in Sector 29. If you know the area, we are quite close to the Akurdi railway station, which makes it easy for students who take the local train from the main city or Lonavala side. The campus stays busy from morning until late afternoon. You see people walking from the station all the time, mostly carrying bags and looking a bit tired if the sun is out. Pune weather can get dry, so there is always a bit of dust around the roads here. The building itself is just part of the landscape in this section of town. We’ve been here for a while now. Most days are just routine, handling admissions or making sure the classrooms are ready for the next batch. It’s not a quiet spot because of the station and the shops nearby, but that’s just how Akurdi is. Students grab snacks at the local stalls nearby during their breaks. Sometimes the traffic on the main road gets a bit jammed, especially during the peak hours in the evening. People know us mostly because of the name and where we sit geographically in this industrial and residential mix. It’s a practical spot for a college. We don't have much fancy stuff, just the usual desks, boards, and halls you’d expect in a regular college. It feels like a normal part of the neighborhood, nothing too flashy or out of place for this part of Pune.
