Dr. Sunil Ugile Piles Clinic

We’ve been running this clinic here in Rahatani for a while now. It’s right by the Shastri Nagar bus stop, so it’s pretty easy to find if you’re coming by public transport. You just look for the bus stop and we are right there. Dr. Sunil Ugile usually starts his day fairly early, and the waiting area fills up with people from around Pune. It isn’t a very big place, just a simple room with some chairs and a desk where we handle all the paperwork. The street outside can get quite loud with the buses and cars passing by all day, but inside we try to keep things moving as smoothly as we can. We deal with piles and related issues, which isn’t always the easiest thing for people to talk about. Most of our day is spent listening to patients and writing down notes about their symptoms. Sometimes the fan in the corner makes a bit of clicking noise, but nobody seems to mind it much. We have a small water cooler for anyone who gets thirsty while waiting. Rahatani is a busy area, and being near the bus stop means there are always people walking past the door. We don't have any fancy decorations or anything like that. It is just a practical space where people come when they need help. We try to keep the floors clean despite the dust from the road. It’s just how things go here every day. We usually close up once the last patient is seen.
