Dr Shalaka Salvekar Clinic

This clinic is located at 21 Sarvatra Society. It is one of those twin bungalows, which makes it feel a bit different from a typical office building. It’s a quieter spot than being out on a main road, which many of the patients seem to appreciate. Dr Shalaka Salvekar started here quite some time ago. The space inside is divided up into a waiting area and the consultation room. Since it’s a house-like setting, there is a bit of a yard outside where people sometimes stand if the waiting room gets too crowded. We don’t have a lot of staff, usually just one person at the front to help with the register and answering the phone. The phone rings a lot throughout the day, mostly people asking for times or directions. The society is a nice place, and we try to be good neighbors by keeping things orderly. We see people for all sorts of regular health issues. Some families have been coming here for a couple of generations now. It is a simple place where the curtains might be a little old and the fan makes a bit of noise, but it’s comfortable. We don't use any fancy computer systems for everything; we still like our paper files and handwritten notes for many things. It’s just how we’ve always done it here at the bungalow. It feels more personal that way, and we know our regulars well. We just open the doors and help whoever comes in.
