Dongare Sound

Dongare Sound is located at 322 Navi Peth, right near Ganjave Chowk and close to the Vitthal Mandir. This is a very traditional part of town, and we have been here for quite a while now. Our shop is mostly filled with black boxes, heavy cables, and metal stands. There isn't much room to move around when we have everything in stock. It smells a bit like old electronics and dust, which is pretty normal for a sound business. The temple nearby means we hear a lot of bhajans and bells, which is a nice backdrop to our work. We spend a lot of time testing speakers to make sure there isn't any buzzing or crackling. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to chat about what is happening in the neighborhood. We don’t have a website or anything like that; people usually just find us because they have seen our name around or they live nearby. It is a family-run sort of deal, so things are pretty casual. If we are closed, it is usually because we are out at a site setting things up for a function. We try to keep the front area tidy, but with all the equipment coming in and out, it is a constant battle. Navi Peth is a good place for us because it is easy for people to drop by and talk.
