Dharaskar Children Clinic

If you head out toward Salumbre on Dehu Road, you will find our clinic. It is right there in the Salumbre area. The building is simple and fits in with the rest of the neighborhood. Being a children's clinic, it gets quite loud here sometimes. You hear a lot of crying but also some laughing when the kids find the toys we keep in the corner. The walls have some stickers on them to make it look a bit less plain. The chairs in the waiting room are plastic because they are easy to wipe down. Dehu Road is a busy stretch, so there is always a bit of dust coming in through the door. We spend a lot of time checking heights and weights. The scale is right by the door. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk, but other days the waiting room stays full until late in the evening. There isn't any big sign with flashing lights, just a regular board so people know they are in the right place. The exam room has a table with a paper roll on it and some basic medical tools like stethoscopes. We mostly see the same families over and over as their kids grow up. It is a quiet life out here in Salumbre compared to the city. We just open up in the morning and see who comes through the door to see us.
