Devchand College Arjunnagr

Devchand College is situated on Kalamba Road in Kolhapur, specifically in the Dadu Chougule Nagar area at Pt. 361/62. It’s a busy part of town, and you can always hear the traffic from the road during lectures. The college has been part of this community for quite a while, and the buildings show their age in a way that feels comfortable. We have students coming from all over the district, and the mornings are usually a bit chaotic with everyone trying to get to their classes on time. The staff room is a small space where we drink tea and try to keep up with all the grading. It’s not a fancy campus with manicured lawns, but it’s a place where real learning happens in the classrooms. We have some trees for shade during the hot afternoons, which the students appreciate. The neighborhood around Dadu Chougule Nagar is mostly residential, so we try to keep the noise down when events are happening. Dealing with the paperwork for hundreds of students is a never-ending job for the administrative folks in the front office. We just do our best to keep things organized and make sure the schedules are followed. It’s a lot of work running a college, and there’s always something that needs fixing, whether it’s a leaky pipe or a broken desk, but we just take it one day at a time and focus on the students who come through our doors.
