If you come down to Bhosari Industrial Estate, you will find us in Sector 17 at plot A 78. This whole area is full of the sounds of clanking metal and trucks backing up. Our place is no different. We deal with construction equipment and machinery, which means there is always something heavy being moved around with a crane or a forklift. The floor is concrete and often has some grease marks here and there, despite how much we try to keep it clean. It is a practical space, not a showroom. We have a small office area where we keep the records and handle the phone calls, but most of the action happens out where the machines are. The staff here wears rugged clothes because the work is dirty. We take our lunch breaks together, usually sitting on whatever is available nearby. It is a long day usually, starting with the morning tea and ending when the last shutter goes down. We have been in this spot for a while now and we know the other business owners on this street. We help each other out when someone’s truck gets stuck or if a machine needs a quick look from a neighbor. It is a tight-knit community here in Bhosari. We don’t bother with fancy signs or anything like that. People just know where we are and what we do by looking at the equipment out front. It is honest work and it keeps us busy.
