About Dattakala Polytechnic College – Education in Pune
If you head out towards Daund, you’ll find our polytechnic college sitting in the Thergaon area. It's a bit of a distance from the main Pune city center, so it feels a bit more open out here. The college is mostly about technical stuff, so there’s always the sound of machines or tools coming from the workshop areas. Students are usually wearing their uniforms and heading towards the different departments. We have a lot of space, which is nice, but it means a lot of walking back and forth between the buildings. The staff here are mostly local people who know the area well. We don't have any fancy decorations; it's just a place for learning a trade. The roads around here can get a bit rough during the monsoon, but we manage. Most days are pretty much the same: the students arrive, the workshops get busy, and the office handles the usual heap of forms and records. There’s a small canteen where everyone goes to grab some tea or a quick snack during the break. It’s a very practical sort of place. We don’t go in for big speeches or anything like that. People come here to get their diploma and then they go out to find jobs in the factories or offices nearby. It’s just a solid, hardworking atmosphere every day of the week except Sundays. The campus stays busy until late evening.
