Our small office is out in Karnjade, which is near the Pargon post in the Panvel area of New Mumbai. It is a bit of a trek for some, but we like being out here away from the busiest parts of the city. The building is simple and doesn’t have a lot of signage, so you have to know what you are looking for to find us. We mostly deal with administrative tasks and local services here under the Cms name. The routine is pretty much the same every day. We open up early, get the computers running, and start going through the files. It can get quite hot during the summer months, and the local power supply can be a bit temperamental at times. We have a couple of desks and some old metal cupboards for the records. It is a quiet place for the most part, except for when the local trucks go by on the main road. Most of the people who work here live in the nearby villages or over in Panvel. We aren't a big corporation or anything, just a small group of people trying to keep things organized. There is usually some lunch being shared in the back room around noon. It’s a very basic setup, but it works for what we need to do. We don't spend much on decor or fancy furniture, just the essentials to get the job done.
