You can find us at 259/261 Ganesh Peth, right on Swami Vivekanand Road. We are inside Aayesha Manzil. If you know the area, you know how hectic Ganesh Peth can get. There are trucks unloading and people everywhere. Our shop is filled with the smell of iron and grease. We have drawers full of screws, bolts, and all sorts of hand tools. It’s not the cleanest place because hardware is inherently dirty work. We spend our mornings opening up the shutters and dusting off the counters, though the dust always seems to come back by noon. There are stacks of metal pipes in the corner and heavy boxes that we have to shift around daily. We don't have any fancy catalogs. Most of the time, we just know where everything is by memory. If a customer comes in looking for a specific wrench, we usually know exactly which pile it’s in. The building itself, Aayesha Manzil, is an old one, so the rooms have high ceilings but they get quite warm in the summer. We have a small fan that wobbles a bit, but it helps. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting things and counting stock. We’ve been part of this street for a long time and we’ve seen shops come and go, but we just keep doing what we do every single day without much fuss.
