Bright Hardwares

Bright Hardwares is tucked into the Bhosale Arcade at 16 Raviwar Peth. If you know the market area, you know it gets really crowded around here. We have got a lot of items crammed into the shop, mostly things like locks, hinges, and basic tools. It is the kind of place where you have to look closely to see everything we have. We started this because there is always a need for good hardware in this part of Pune. The shop isn't very large, so we use every bit of wall space for hanging things up. Sometimes it takes a minute to find a specific item if it is tucked behind something else. We get a lot of walk-in customers who are just looking for a quick fix for something at home. My brother and I take turns at the counter. We don't do much advertising, mostly just people seeing the shop as they walk through Raviwar Peth. The air is always a bit metallic smelling because of all the iron and brass around. We have some heavy stuff in the back that we bring out when someone asks for it. It can be a bit dusty, but that is just how hardware stores are. We keep a ledger for the regular accounts and use a calculator for the rest. It is a simple operation and we like it that way. There is no need for anything complicated when you are just selling tools and parts to neighbors.
